Cutumer reviews:

“This is one of the best toys my son has. He loved the Fridge Phonics letters from the moment we saw them in the store and almost a year later, he still plays with them. He has a blast dancing to the music. He is learning to talk and tries to imitate the sounds it makes. I think this product is helping to develop his speech. It also keeps him occupied while I am working in the kitchen. I give this as a gift and highly recommend it when I see other moms looking at it in the store!”

Customer Reviews:
A favorite of my Daughters by Brenda My daughter got her Leapster for Christmas this year; along with one game. When I was looking for a second game for her, I found the Thomas one. She is almost 5 and in preschool, and I thought this would be a good one to try. She loves it. She loves Thomas anyway, but this game really holds her attention. She loves collecting tickets, playing the games and reading the stories.

Fun at first, but doesn’t hold their attention. by K. Quinn My boys just turned 5 and this was the first game they got for their Leapsters a month ago.
They are both nuts about everything Thomas, but this game doesn’t hold their attention. They played with it for the first week, but haven’t asked for the cartridge again since then. It just doesn’t seem challenging enough.

Great first game. by C. J. Thornley My three year old is a bit young for the Leapster, but Thomas is a familiar character to him and so he loves it quite a bit. I have watched him play and am confident he will grow into this game in a matter of months. And it’s better than him playing the gameboy. He really wants to learn his letters and numbers now. And though he has had this game less than a month, he already recognizes the numbers 3 and 5. It’s a start and I am happy he is learning in a way he likes. He does have a little trouble with the pen/stylus because sometimes you have to press a small button on the pen along with touching it to the screen.

LeapFrog Learning Drum

  • Electronic drum promotes motor skills and learning
  • Four different settings
  • Drum sounds out letters of the alphabet, numbers, musical notes, or a traditional drum sound for each tap
  • Off control and 2 volume settings
  • Requires 4 AA alkaline batteries (included)
Editorial Reviews:

When it comes to musical instruments, the drum is arguably one of the easiest to play: just give it a smack. Fortunately, LeapFrog has created a drum that’s sure to provide ongoing delight. It’s an electronic instrument with four different settings. When set to “ABC,” each pat of the drum displays a letter on the drum’s top while a friendly voice says the letter out loud. The letters are sequential, so the drummer learns the alphabet. The “123″ option works in a similar way. There are also options for musical notes and a traditional drum sound. An off control and two volume settings will be welcomed by parents who are sure to hear this drum being played with repeatedly. If the young drummer pauses for a while, the friendly voice plays a little song or asks to be played with again. –John Moe

My kids like it, It’s a TOY! by Ruth C. Smith
My kids have played with this toy for hours. A bit annoying for adults, it does have volume control. It’s not very educational, but it’s a TOY. Buy them a calculator if you want education.

Great for busy little hands! by D. G. Shands
This is my #1 gift for all babies on my list. I even have fun playing it - they first hit it accidentally & get a reaction then the real fun begins. The letters (or number) appear with each hit & the sound isn’t too loud that it scares them. I’ve gotten rave reviews from everyone I’ve given it to. They even have a Spanish version!

Thank you Uncle Wayne! by Lynd Klepesky
I love this drum! My brother bought this for my daughter when she was about 10 months old. We still have it and she just turned 3. This is definately a toy that will grow with your child. It was fun and entertaining when she was an infant. As a toddler, she counted and sang along. Great ABC teacher!

LeapFrog Rocks! by Teacher/Mother
I received this drum as a shower gift before my daughter was even born from an insightful mother of two. Even as a baby, my daughter enjoyed watching me play it and started to learn the reward of banging the drum herself. She still enjoys playing this educational toy at the age of 2 1/2. I am so impressed with the entire line of LeapFrog products. (We own many of them!)

Customer Reviews:

very entertaining! by Chloe
My 6 month old loves her crab rattle. Every time I shake it in front of her she gets excited and starts kicking and grabbing at it.

I gave it four stars because mine had a mark on it when I received it.

GREAT FOR TEETHING by try harder
my 8 month grandbaby just loves this, since she is teething, the smooth cloth edges are a comfort. Sure beats having her slobbering on every tag on clothing stuffed animal, “do not remove tag under penalty of law,” in her mouth.

Cheap by Leslie A. Mcdermott
Don’t like this rattle. There are so many great rattles out there that do so many more things. This is cheap and annoying. As soon as I got it out of the box, I knew my infant wouldn’t “grab” for it. The red crab’s body is hard and not desirable to chew on or even hold. I wouldn’t recommend.

Love it! by C. Battiste
It’s a really good rattle and fun to play with. Everyone loves this! They just can’t get enough.

Customer Reviews:

Pretty great by S. Stanto
I bought this on a whim at Babies R Us. My daughter, who is 10 months, liked the shakers at a church play room, so I thought she might like these too. I was right. She absolutely loves this toy. She immediately figured out how to tap the one shaker to get it to make noises and change color. She even shakes it when it’s off in the hopes of getting it to light up. And it keeps her occupied for a shockingly long time. She likes the other shaker too, which is not battery powered, but just rattles. The toy has three modes, numbers, colors and sound, and each of them is pretty cool. Since my daughter is only 10 months I don’t think she’s getting too much education out of it….but you can switch it to Spanish as well. The music gets really annoying after a while, and I always end up turning it off after like 15 minutes. But my kid LOVES this toy. It’s pretty amusing to watch her play with it.

LeapFrog Learn & Groove Counting Maracas by N. Khan Baboolal
Its a fun and exciting toy which is very appealing to young children. While having fun, it is also teaching in a fun way.

Keeps attention by Raleigh Owens
I bought this toy for my 8 month old son, and he loves it. He likes the sounds and music and especially the colored lights. I like that it is teaching number words, color words, etc. I also like that one maraca makes no special sounds (just shakes like a rattle), so when Mommy needs a break from the noise, I can have one! The only problem I have had is that my sons 4 year old sister keeps taking it away from him, because she likes it too!

Beautiful lights!!! by Amanda Heath
My daughter loves these!!! She grabs them and shakes them and looks at the color and bobs her head!! It’s adorable!! The colors are said as it lights up the colors so it is very educational I can also switch it to spanish!!!! I was a little disappointed that both dont light up but I guess that wouldn’t be the best! ANYWAYS GET THIS!!! Very educational and perfect for any kid thats a fan of lights & music!
